Winter Exhibit 2024
in the Modern World
Love—a basic human emotion has been an important theme in art since ancient times.
For this exhibition the Suwanee Arts Center is calling on artists to submit LOVE themed artwork. This theme is open to the artist's interpretation and a broad variety of works will be considered.
A submission could be, but not limited to:
a mesmerizing fusion of vibrant colors depicting various emotions
might include artwork capturing a relationship: parent/child, deity, florals, love of tacos…
portraying love in different cultures, or acceptance.
evoking the complexities of the heart or passionate setting.
the modern era's influence on relationships, exploring themes of connection, intimacy, social media and/or technology.
It could feature expressions of affection, and thought-provoking pieces addressing the impact of social media on modern love.
might also touch on evolving definitions of love, reflecting the complexities of navigating relationships in today's fast-paced, interconnected world.
Each piece would aim to evoke a myriad of feelings, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexities of unconditional love in its many forms.
These are only a few of the interpretations that can be pursued and meant only as inspiration or a basic direction. Please expand on this description as you see fit.
