Artist Participation Process

• To ensure effective planning and promotion, we ask artists to pre-commit to the number of works they intend to submit, up to 4.

• Commitment can be made via the Online Artist Commitment Form.

• Artists may request canvases from the Suwanee Arts Center or use their own.

• Suggested media include, but are not limited to: oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, mixed media, printmaking, photography, fiber art. Let your imagination run wild while keeping the artwork within the 8x8 format.

• The subject matter of the submitted artwork is open to the artist's discretion.

• The face and all 4 sides of the canvas should be painted or finished. Materials such as oils and adhesives MUST be completely dry before delivering your artwork to us.

• Entries must not violate copyright laws.

• All committed artwork must be hand-delivered to the Suwanee Arts Center with a legible identification label. Labels should include the artist’s name, title, and medium.

• Artists should know that we sincerely appreciate their generous donation of artwork to support Suwanee Arts Center.

• Diptychs and triptychs are allowed, but the artwork should collectively fit within the 8x8 format or use multiple 8x8 canvases. For example, artists may hinge two 8x8 canvases together.
