Pop Art x Anime Exhibition
Featuring anime, comic, cartoon, and pop art styles
The Suwanee Arts Center is excited to celebrate creativity in all its forms with our very first Pop Art x Anime Exhibition. In this vibrant exhibit, we will celebrate anime, comics, cartoons, and pop art, highlighting bold colors, iconic styles, and the creative energy behind these influential art movements.
The Suwanee Arts Center is dedicated to supporting creative growth by providing meaningful opportunities for artists to showcase their work. Through our curated exhibitions, we highlight both emerging and established artists, creating space for bold ideas and diverse artistic voices.
This exhibition welcomes submissions inspired by anime, comics, cartoons, and pop art across both 2D and 3D artwork. All entries will be selected based on the quality of craftsmanship, originality, and strength of presentation.
As part of our mission, we are committed to supporting artists in their creative journey and helping them grow both artistically and professionally within the arts community.
CRITERIA

Theme: Pop Art x Anime Exhibition
Artists are invited to submit work inspired by anime, comics, cartoons, and pop art. This exhibition celebrates bold visuals, expressive storytelling, vibrant color, and the creative energy found within these styles. Submissions may explore any subject matter as long as the work reflects or is inspired by the Pop Art, anime, comic, or cartoon aesthetic.

Fan Art Policy
Fan art submissions are welcome for this exhibition. However, all works must be reinterpreted through the artist’s own creative style and approach. Artists should not replicate or closely imitate the original animation, comic, or show style. Submissions must clearly demonstrate personal artistic expression, originality, and a unique visual interpretation of the source inspiration.

Accepted Media
Includes but is not limited to oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, mixed media, printmaking, photography, digital illustration, fiber art, three dimensional artwork including ceramics, pottery, woodworking, metal, and sculpture, and videography. Metal and acrylic prints are accepted.

AI Policy
AI generated artwork will not be accepted. All submitted work must be original and created entirely by the artist without the use of artificial intelligence image generation tools. This exhibition is dedicated to celebrating human creativity, originality, and personal expression.

Presentation Requirements
• All 2D artwork and photography must be properly framed or gallery wrapped on canvas at a minimum depth of 1 1/4 inches with painted edges and no visible staples.
• Maximum size is 42 inches in either direction.
• The gallery can only accommodate a limited number of larger works, and selection will be more competitive for oversized pieces.
• All artwork must be wired for hanging. Sawtooth hangers are not permitted.
• Three dimensional work must be able to sit on a gallery pedestal or the artist must provide an appropriate display base.

Sales & Commission
• All artwork must be for sale.
• The Suwanee Arts Center retains a 30 percent commission on all sales.
• Sold works will remain on display until the end of the exhibition and will be released to buyers after closing.

Additional Guidelines
• Entries must comply with copyright laws.
• Accepted artwork must be hand delivered to the Suwanee Arts Center with a clearly labeled identification tag including artist name, title, medium, and price.
• Artwork not picked up within 30 days after the exhibition closes will become property of the Suwanee Arts Center.
• The Suwanee Arts Center reserves the right to refuse any work that does not meet guidelines or is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or improperly presented.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Each artist is responsible for insurance of his or her artwork. While all care will be taken while art is being exhibited in the Suwanee Arts Center, SAC, and its members or anyone working on the exhibition, assumes no responsibility for any damage to the artwork during delivery, installation, and de-installation. SAC will not be liable for artwork not claimed after specified pick-up dates and times.

SAC Members $35 Each member artist may submit up to three pieces. Additional artwork may be requested to fill spaces as pieces are sold. *Current Members only.

Non-Members $45 (total of 3 pieces)

Emerging Artist (student up to 19 years of age) $15 (entitles the student to submit 2 pieces)

We would like to include everyone's work in the exhibit; however, space is limited.

Please contact SAC if an earlier drop-off is required.
Late artwork will not be included as the exhibit curating will be affected.

As part of our opening reception, we are featuring a special Artist Vendor Market. This is a chance to connect with talented creators, discover original artwork, and support artists in our community. From prints and handmade goods to one-of-a-kind pieces, there will be something for every art lover to enjoy.
Join us for a day filled with creativity, community, and artistic expression as we bring together artists and art enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience.

Application Requirements
• All work must be created by the applying artist.
• All submissions will be reviewed and juried prior to acceptance.
• Each application must include 4 photos:
3 images of your work.
1 image of you in your studio or creating your work.
A work display photo is optional but encouraged.
• An artist statement and biography are required.
• Only one artist per space.
• Work such as ceramics from commercial molds, commercially made jewelry components, or hobby kits will not be accepted.

Setup Information
Each artist will be provided with one 6 ft table and chairs by the Suwanee Arts Center.
• All artwork and display materials must fit within the assigned table space.
• Artists may bring their own table displays and presentation materials.

Exhibitor Rules
• All work must be created by the exhibiting artist.
• All work must be available for sale.
• Artists are responsible for handling all sales and payments.
• Only one artist per space.
• Artists must provide all display materials used within their assigned table space.
• Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting Georgia sales tax to the Georgia Department of Revenue.
• The Suwanee Arts Center reserves the right to remove any work or display deemed inappropriate without refund.
• Acceptance into the event is a commitment to participate. No refunds will be issued after jury acceptance for artist cancellation.
• No refunds will be issued due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. This is an indoor event, and all risk of loss is the responsibility of the exhibitor.
