🌸 About the Artist – Françoise Lama-Solet

Françoise Lama-Solet is a self-taught contemporary impressionist artist based in Johns Creek, Georgia. Born in Paris and raised in the suburbs of France, she discovered her passion for creativity at a young age through painting and sewing. After moving to the U.S. in 2000, she built a successful fashion business specializing in children’s clothing, later expanding into women’s wearable art with hand-printed, hand-painted, and hand-dyed textiles. In 2018, she fully returned to painting and quickly began gaining recognition, participating in juried exhibitions, earning awards, and showing her work internationally, including in London. Françoise’s art is inspired by the beauty of nature—flowers, landscapes, seascapes, and abstract forms. Her work is known for vivid colors, elegant movement, and joyful expression. She often incorporates texture and fluid techniques to create pieces that feel both energetic and soothing. She is an active member of the North Gwinnett Arts Association, Alpha Art Guild, and Johns Creek Art Guild, and is the founder of the community project “Let’s Play to Beat Breast Cancer. ”Françoise’s journey blends fashion, fine art, and a deep love for creative exploration—resulting in artwork that celebrates beauty, originality, and emotion.
