Local artists bringing art to our community.

ABOUT

US

The Suwanee Arts Center (SAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of local art through exhibition, festivals and other arts education. Based in Suwanee, Georgia, the SAC maintains an open membership policy where artists of all types, as well as art lovers, are welcome to be a part of the organization.

The Suwanee Arts Center hosts events in the beautiful Suwanee Town Center, such as the Fine Arts Festival and Suwanee Classic Car Show. Both events draw large audiences and the proceeds fund various SAC art initiatives.

In 2016, the Suwanee Arts Center opened Suwanee’s first Center for the Arts in Suwanee Town Center. Arts and cultural activities are at the heart of a community. The SAC helps to make Suwanee a more attractive place to live while contributing to the ongoing knowledge within our community, bringing the area to life.

The SAC welcomes volunteers and donations at any time. Please contact us below to inquire about volunteer opportunities with us!

DOMINIQUE "DICE" CARTER

Dominique “DICE” Carter is a colorblind artist originally from Brooklyn, NY. He lived there in the 90s and early 00s a time in which he witnessed excess poverty and crime while toggling between foster care and homelessness. He moved to Atlanta in 2003 and would go on to have experiences similar to those in Brooklyn. Throughout these adverse experiences he would secretly write poetry coupled with abstract pencil work as an outlet from his environment. This has become an art form he still uses to this day.

He would go on to graduate from Gwinnett Technical College and Georgia Gwinnett College, respectively, making stops in Philadelphia and New York where he decided to paint full time.

Because of his colorblindness Dice’s painting style, self-taught and described as beautiful chaos emphasizing texture, flow, and a safe space to use your imagination while color is a tertiary consideration to his creations.
