The Suwanee Arts Center (SAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of local art through exhibition, festivals and other arts education. Based in Suwanee, Georgia, the SAC maintains an open membership policy where artists of all types, as well as art lovers, are welcome to be a part of the organization.
The Suwanee Arts Center hosts events in the beautiful Suwanee Town Center, such as the Fine Arts Festival and Suwanee Classic Car Show. Both events draw large audiences and the proceeds fund various SAC art initiatives.
In 2016, the Suwanee Arts Center opened Suwanee’s first Center for the Arts in Suwanee Town Center. Arts and cultural activities are at the heart of a community. The SAC helps to make Suwanee a more attractive place to live while contributing to the ongoing knowledge within our community, bringing the area to life.
The SAC welcomes volunteers and donations at any time. Please contact us below to inquire about volunteer opportunities with us!
I grew up in Kaysville Utah and I was fortunate to have lived next door to a famous Utah artist LeConte Stewart. I watched him paint the different parts of Kaysville. I was student body artist in school and did oil and charcoal portraits. I painted off and on through the years raising three wonderful children. It wasn’t until I moved to Georgia that I wanted to learn watercolor paining. I have received one 2D first place, two Honorable Mention and a people’s choice award from Suwanee Arts Center.
