Paw-traits: Capturing Your Furry Friend

Ages: 16+, intermediate skill level Class Dates: Sundays, March 23 & 30 Learn to paint like a master—with a furry twist! In this fun, two-session class, you’ll recreate Vermeer’s famous Girl with a Pearl Earring… but this time, you’ll paint a portrait of your furry friend as the star! You’ll get hands-on experience with Vermeer’s signature techniques in light, color, and perspective while capturing the unique charm of your four-legged family member. By the end, you’ll have a stunning pet portrait that’s both a tribute to Vermeer and your beloved companion. Choose between acrylic or oil paints (oil medium includes a 50/50 mix of linseed oil and odorless thinner). We’ll provide paint, but feel free to bring your own favorite brushes and colors too! Upon registration, instructor will request a reference photograph of the pet to be painted.
