ABOUT THE EVENT
Speed Paint-Out is a one-day plein air event in conjunction with The Suwanee Classic Car Show, held in Suwanee Town Center Park on November 10, 2019. Participation is open to any artist aged 16 and up, in any media that can be completed in the time allowed, sized no larger than 36”x36”, and presented in a way to hang on metal grid panels. Media that needs extended drying time, particularly oil paint, may be used, but must be framed in such a way as to preserve the artwork’s integrity.
Artwork will by judged by Lynn Weisbach, a full-time artist and instructor, who has has won numerous national, regional, and local awards and honors. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the southeast, and her paintings and assemblages hang in many corporate, private, and public collections around the country.

IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUWANEE CLASSIC CAR SHOW
TIMELINE
Pre-registration is available online prior to November 10, 2020 to any artist aged 16 and up. Cost of pre-registration is $25.
Day of Event: Walk up registration is available at the event for $30. Register at the Suwanee Arts Center check-in point in Suwanee Town Center Park.
Artist Check-In will be from 8:30 – 9:00AM. Art substrate will be stamped, and artists are encouraged to find a location within the car show to set up and create. Artists are encouraged to bring information to share with potential clients at the SAC, and as they work.
Artwork must be returned to the Suwanee Arts Center in the Town Center Park no later than 3:00PM for display and judging. Artwork will be displayed using metal grid panels.
At 3:30PM, winners will be announced. First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded, with possible other merit awards given. Winning entries will be publicized in local media outlets and on the SAC website.
Artists may choose to have their artwork displayed at the Suwanee Arts Center in Town Center for up to two weeks after the Paint-Out, and sales will be encouraged with a 30% commission going to the Center. Artwork must be picked up no later than Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
In the event of inclement weather, the Paint-Out will be canceled and registrations refunded in the manner they were received.
