ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

The Member Show & Holiday Market will feature artwork created by Suwanee Arts Center member artists for holiday gift-giving. This open theme juried member only exhibition will encompass 2D and 3D art in a variety of media and themes, from paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, mixed media, woodworking, and sculpture.  

ALL MEDIA and skill levels are invited to submit three (3) entries. Artwork in the categories of 2D, 3D, and Photography, (including pottery, jewelry, woodworking, glass, fiber arts, handcrafted works made from thread, yarn, & rope, and fine crafts that are completely handmade) will be accepted and all works must adhere to guidelines. Craftsmanship and presentation of artwork will be criteria for acceptance into the exhibit. SAC reserves the right to refuse any submitted work which does not adhere to the guidelines listed below, is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or improperly presented.

CRITERIA

  • Artwork must be for sale. 

  • SAC retains 30% commission of all works sold during the exhibition.

  • 2D artwork and Photography maximum size "36x48" including frame. All 2D artwork and Photography must be properly framed or at least 1 1/2” deep gallery wrapped with painted edges and no visible staples, wired to hang (no saw tooth hangers). Smaller framed pieces need to be supplied with a table easel by the artist.

  • 3D artwork must fit on a gallery pedestal. Artist needs to provide their own display for jewelry and sculpture pieces and have everything priced prior to drop off.

  • Boxed greeting cards must be a minimum of five cards per box. Individual cards must be displayed on a tabletop stand (not to exceed 30" tall) or floor stand (not to exceed 52" tall).

  • Ornaments may be displayed on either a tabletop or floor display (not to exceed 36" tall).

  • Entries must not violate copyright laws.

  • Artist will be asked to bring in more items as their artwork sells.

  • All accepted artwork must be delivered to Suwanee Arts Center with legible identification label. Label must include: Artist’s name, email address, Title, Medium, and Price for artwork.

Overall Best in Show and Best in Category awarded. Ribbon awarded to Honorable Mention. Visit Suwanee Arts Center to vote for your favorite piece of art - People's Choice awarded at end of Exhibit. Awards sponsored by

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Each artist is responsible for insuring his or her own artwork. While all care will be taken while art is being exhibited in the Suwanee Arts Center, SAC and its members or anyone working on the exhibition, assumes no responsibility for any damage to the artwork during delivery, installation and de-installation. SAC will not be liable for artwork not claimed after specified pick-up dates and time.

Images of works may be used for SAC marketing and on social media.

ENTRY FEE AND APPLICATION

Entry fee is $35.00 (non-refundable) and entitles the artist to submit a total of three (3) pieces that meet

the above criteria. Images must be in .jpg format and smaller than 3MB. You will receive an email from suwaneeeartscenter.org confirming your submission has been processed.
