ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

HOLIDAYS IN SUWANEE - It's a Small Works & Holiday Market Exhibit will feature artwork sized for easy holiday gift-giving. This exhibition will encompass 2D and 3D art in a variety of media and themes, from paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, mixed media, woodworking, and sculpture. Small works are encouraged to be no larger than 16" in either dimension. All artwork will be for sale at gift giving prices and available for customers to take home at the time of purchase.  Join the Suwanee Arts Center for this holiday exhibition and help spread some holiday cheer!

CRITERIA

  • Artwork must be for sale. 

  • SAC retains 30% commission of all works sold during the exhibition.

  • 2D artwork and Photography maximum size 16" for either dimension, including frame, small works are encouraged. All 2D artwork and Photography must be properly framed or at least 1 1/2” deep gallery wrapped with painted edges and no visible staples, wired to hang (no saw tooth hangers). Metal or acrylic photos are acceptable.

  • 3D artwork must fit on a gallery pedestal or shelf. Artist needs to provide their own display for jewelry and sculpture pieces.

  • Boxed greeting cards must be a minimum of five cards per box. Individual cards must be displayed on a tabletop stand (not to exceed 30" tall) or floor stand (not to exceed 52" tall).

  • Ornaments may be displayed on either a tabletop, floor display (not to exceed 36" tall), or packaged.

  • Entries must not violate copyright laws.

  • Artist may be asked to bring in more items as their artwork sells.

  • All accepted artwork must be delivered to Suwanee Arts Center with legible identification label. Label must include: Artist’s name, email address, Title, Medium, and Price for artwork.

  • Craftsmanship and presentation of artwork will be criteria for acceptance into the exhibit.  SAC reserves the right to refuse any submitted work which does not adhere to the guidelines listed above, is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or improperly presented.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Each artist is responsible for insuring their own artwork. While all care will be taken while art is being exhibited in the Suwanee Arts Center, SAC and its members or anyone working on the exhibition, assumes no responsibility for any damage to the artwork during delivery, installation and de-installation. SAC will not be liable for artwork not claimed after specified pick-up dates and time.

Images of works may be used for SAC marketing and on social media.

(entitles artists to submit a total of 4 pieces)

FORMAT YOUR FILE

VERY IMPORTANT: Name your file(s). Artist name - Title of artwork (with spaces between words)

Entries must be in JPG format and smaller than 3MB.

Failure to follow exactly as stated above may disqualify your work.

You will receive an email from suwaneeartscenter.org confirming your submission has been processed. You will be notified by email if your work has been accepted.
